• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Member List Location

I just recently moved to Mesa, AZ. The member list used to include members’ locations. Now I don’t see it. It could be very helpful to have that info while traveling if you needed help or just to find other local members to meet up with. Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Just tried the link. Beta developer page.. not functional. Would love to know of other ryders in my area too! (Toledo, Ohio)

There is a biker rescue page on Facebook called North American Biker Rescue (NABR for short.) Even though is is titled North American, it has grown to be a world wide group with over 32K members who signed up because they care enough to help a fellow biker in need. The main focus is to get stranded bikers (trikes are included) off the side of the road and to safety. There are instances where once a CHROME ALERT is issued, help has been on the way within minutes. With it being on Facebook you are probably more likely to find someone always online who will take the reigns on tagging member close to where you need help. They have the main page set up just for rescues and a few special notices that have to be approved by the admins; but a CHROME ALERT can be issued by anyone and managed by anyone. For all other just chit chat, setting up rides and meetings, etc. there is a sister page called NABR Family Friendly Lounge. There's a pretty good bunch of folks on both pages. Check them out and read through the rules for a better understanding of the purpose and how it all works.

I would also bet there are multiple Spyder Facebook pages in the Mesa area. Do a search for them once you get there.

I added it back so its displayed (i removed location in the members list page over 3 yrs ago), as you would have to scroll thru thousands of pages to find members that way....

Just go here: https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/memberlist.php?do=search

I just typed my name in the first box and hit search at the bottom. It brought up my home page instantly. :bowdown:

Go to the members list page, top right under the z, "search members" click the drop arrow, click go advanced.

Top right under the z... Don't see a z.

I'm on a tablet using Chrome if that makes a difference.

Are you on the Member List page?? :dontknow:

To get there, Click on 'Community' in the menu bar just above the Sponsors banner line & below the Home, Forum, What's New.... line; then click on 'Member List' at the bottom of the drop down box that'll appear. ;)

When you are on the Member List page, there should be a page width box under the Sponsor's banner line with the title Member List that's labelled 'Filter Results:' which has a row of small boxes in it, starting with # then A, B, C, ... etc & ending with Z on the far right of the page;

Immediately below that Z you should be able to see 'Search Members' with a small 'down arrow' to it's right.... that's the button you want! :ohyea:

It should be just above the top right corner of the text box containing all the Member details, User Name, Join Date, etc - so it'll be immediately above the RHS column in that text box, the column which is labelled Your Location (State or Province Etc...) :thumbup:

Help any? :dontknow:
