• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Magnesium-colored fenders?

Xyzzy

The build tool on the Can-Am web site allows you to add optional magnesium-colored fenders to the magnesium-colored F3-S, but it doesn't update the build picture to show what they look like. I can't find any pictures on Google, either.

Does anyone have this mod?

I think the lighter-colored fender will add more detail and contrast to the tires instead of looking like a dark blob, but the fenders are $250 so it would be a gamble without seeing it first.

Thanks!

I'm not sure how much this will help but the prettiest Spyder on the forum in my opinion is JC's. He had it painted Blue Flame and painted the fenders as well. When I climbed on my pitiful black fendered bike yesterday it made me kind of sad. I may have a new winter project.

Black it ALL out. Plastidip the body, plastidip and glossifier on the framework. Guaranteed to look Badass. All for fifty bucks.

That's a bad looking ride to be sure coz but I can't give up my orange frame.

My last four trucks were two black F150 FX4's, one dark grey F150 FX4 and a blue F150 Raptor. My new truck is a white Ram Longhorn with chrome bumpers. I'm trying to present myself as a kinder, gentler person.

That blue Spyder is nice looking.

I went ahead and ordered the fenders. Hopefully they look awesome!

Please do not everyone copy my bike...:-) Then I would have to spend more $$ to be different again....

Thanks for the complements though.
You may see some painted fenders but the Blue Flame will always separate you from the crowd. Unless they offer it in '16. Then you're going to have to pull out your wallet again.

The fenders arrived today. They took me about 3 hours to install, but I work slow. I think I need to put the black stripe on the hood to finish the look.

That really looks great Xyz. How did you get them? I don't see them in the accessory catalog. Are they listed as a regular replacement part?

You know the new titanium Akrapovik would bring everything together. I may take that old chrome one off your hands to help you out.

They are in the accessory catalog but the listing is very small. They don't come with instructions but they are pretty easy to figure out. See the attached picture.
