• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A small Safety Mod to our 2022 RTL with a big improvement!

TCBoone put me in touch with the maker, who shipped me mine same day, arrived next day. Excellent service, easy install, and excellent fix! Used the new signal and shifter all weekend, with zero missed signal cancels. The shifter pad is optional in my opinion, as that wasn't difficult before (but it does make upshifting easier), but the new signal cap is a MUST. This might be my favorite mod, actually. Certainly it was the cheapest and most practical!

Called about the shift and signal modifications on the 27th, I received the parts on the 29th. I have arthritis at the base of both thumbs, the comfort improvement in my left hand was very noticeable during my ride today.
Thanks Dave and TCBoone.

I'm just wondering: If these are 3d printed, are the files available on thingiverse?

Hi Don,

Welcome to the forum.

The files are not available at this time, please send me a PM for more information.

I just did a 93 mile ride with many lane changes, and for the first time in 20K miles I did not have one failed manual turn signal failure. Before the new knob, I would almost all the time have the signal flashing the other direction.

:ohyea: :2thumbs:

I've had this mod for a while now and I can honestly tell you that it's a game changer for me. Nore more stretching for the shift paddle, and no more slippage on the blinker switch. Also no more accidental pressing of the horn switch. That happened more than I care to mention.

took about a week to get mine not due to Dave but my mail service is slow. Easy install took about 2 minutes what a nice difference. THANKS DAVE

.

Recently acquired the set. Hope they will be a good fit for me.

I have used these safety mod pieces on both of my previous F3Ts (2016 & 2017).
They make a huge difference in the operation of the left module.
Keep up the good work...

Installed...... Just about ready to Ryde after a broken leg (knee and MCL injury, ya, skiing) Storm coming in, next week should be a go.

Installed both the shifter pad and turn signal switch - follow up; took a 3-hour ride and never once had to look down at either. It's just amazing that something so small could make such a major difference. THANKS AGAIN DAVE!

The redesigned Turn Signal Knob does not fit the 2024 models, because the stalk the knob attaches to has been redesigned.

The Shifter Pad mod will fit all models, the Turn Signal Knob fits all years up to and including the 2023 models.

Thank you,
TCBoone

A friend and I both got the turn signal button and shifter pad from Dave, and we agree... great improvement. Great job Dave!

Well, wheelchair, crutches, and knee brace are just bad dream of the past. The mod of the turn signal button is great.

I have put about a hundred miles on the Spyder since I got the turn signal button and shifter pad. Huge improvement!

Have had the turn signal switch button replaced with this one and have used it hundreds of times and not once it did not cancel the first time. Had trouble with the OEM button on two different bikes. Good redesign.

I have to say after 75-mile ride, the shifter pad and turn signal button have helped me quite a bit. I have nerve damage in my left hand, not much strength and I have the ability to turn off my turn signal now if I use it to change lanes, where I couldn't before. The shifter pad helps also as my thumb no longer slips on the paddle shifter.
Thank you Frogman Dave!
