• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lower engine temperature

LOL if that's his low speed, hate to see what high speed vid would be like .... will be a riot fer sure.:D

Installed my kit from REPOPS this morning took 5 minutes....super easy install and great instructions:2thumbs:

Good deal, thanks for the thumbs up. Well, there was one error in the instructions which I now have fixed, thanks to an alert "Missing Air Dam" fan. (break clean instead of brake clean)

Check back with us after you get a chance to test it out.

A batch goes to Australia tomorrow, can't wait to hear how it works down under!

Of course we are heading into winter here be we are still around the 75- 80 deg F at the moment. My gauge fluctuates between 4 and 5. Never below.

In summer on the highway my ambient air temp showed 45 deg C - around 110 deg F.

Will be very interested to see how it goes.

I went for a ryde today with the air dam installed. It was 97 F outside and the Spyder only reached 5 bars when stopped at a traffic light. Rest of the time it stayed right at 4 bars, so the fan never kicked in while ryding. I also kept it under 65 the entire ryde, so that is a pretty darn good showing. :2thumbs:

Not pooping on this but..............

This doesnt solve heat soak at low speed/stuck in traffic situations. Its a bandaid for the real problem: LEAN CONDITION. If you give the Spyder fuel with a aftermarket fuel controller, your engine temps will drop, your exhaust temps will drop, your coolant temp will drop, your oil temp will drop, your spyder's motor will live MUCH longer.

There are alot of creative tricks for trying to keep the spyder cool, but none of them address it like the fuel situation.

:roflblack:
This posting has been modified... too funny.

Lets see, for 20ish dollars, I can lower the operating temp of my Spyder, therefore, lowering my oil temp, exhaust temp, coolant temp and overall temp. Sounds like a NOBRAINER to me. Plus, I wont have to dump more fuel into a stock engine, therefore keeping my mpg the same.

So... the big question is....... Where the heck are the Aerochargers that people ordered???

We have heard zero lately about if and when these will ever become reality.

Inquiring minds want to know!

Word is they will ship this week, but I suggest calling Brad @ 913-541-0200 if you want to hear from the horses mouth. I think I responded with a update last week on the other forum dedicated to that thread. They are a reality, the airboxes, pipes, etc are all done. Finalizing the kit packaging, etc.... all part of probably the largest, single Spyder addition that the aftermarket has ever delivered. Takes a bit of time.
