Lost my antenna while riding.........

my antenna fell off while I was riding, and I didn't notice it. I was at a stop light to turn right and a car I think
honked at me, I thought it was to go,( but there was too much cross traffic) now I think it was because my antenna
must have just fallen off. i will go back to that intersection today.

Has this happened to anybody else?

Not sure if a warranty issue, more a
dealer thing during initial PDI. I didn't notice it till I got to my last destination , I tried to retrace where
i had been. Now I have a big hole and I don't get good radio reception. I am gonna get the shorter antenna now,
but I have no rubber boot. So how do I get or make a rubber boot? and I am getting the CB comm will that come
with another antenna with rubber boot?

I'd see your dealer. This should not have happened. No matter whose fault it was, it was not yours, and should be covered.

Yes, I took it in today to my dealership and, no questions asked, they are ordering me another one. I did ask if I could use the demo RT antenna till this one came in, and the answer was no. (gotta try) Just so you know in Los Angeles radio reception is generally pretty good, the AM stations for Basketball worked great today. And the FM was just fine too!:2thumbs:

I actually think mine was stolen!!!! I purchased that 16" one and am glad. There really is a noticeable difference in reception. Someone posted, after I purchased mine, that Auto Zone or Discount Auto Parts, had the same antenna for something like $6.99 or $9.99. Better than the $19.99 plus shipping I paid. None the less, I'm very happy with it :2thumbs:

I went to autozone and checked online, no $6.99 I could find. They had a fake stick on antenna for $9.99, useless.

are you saying the 16" noticeable difference in reception as a good thing or ? I also ordered two of these from the same place as you I think.

I posts 'um as I gets 'um. That inch discrepancy sounds like a personal problem :roflblack: and yeah I notice an obvious reception difference. That for me was a good thing. :2thumbs:
