• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looks like I have some installing to do

When I was in Daytona last month Magic Man noticed my Spyder was sitting a little low. Turns out it was setting about 2.5" low :yikes: At that point I knew it was time to order shocks. They just came in and i plan on doing a install and ride report when I'm done.

Lamonster, I am also about to take the Elka plung so I look forward to your ride report.

I noticed you have the Corbin rear fender, I just got mine and must say I was a little disappointed with the fit where it mounts to the brackets. How did yours work? Is it flush up to the brackets like the stock fender was? Aside from that though, it's a great looking fender and really makes the back end look cleaner.

Fit on the fender could have been better for sure. :sour:

I put the ELKA Elites on mine, just before I went to the Smokies. Let me just say for overall ride improvement, these are incredable. You can feel the imporve right out of the gate. The bike ride smother, and handle much better in the turns. They are expensive. but they are well worth it. These are one of my favorite MODS.

Lamont; You are going to love it.

Looks like you're doing the rear also? I thought you had the air-ride setup?

I've been looking at these shocks too.

Did you get the front ones that have external reservoirs?

They look really sharp on the bikes I've seen them on.

Tj, I saw your review. Sounded really good. I am trying to get the money together while Pirate Powersports is still running his special. :) I took Lou's spyder with the Elka shocks for a quick ride and definitely agree they make a solid difference.

I have the same Elka remote reservoir units and they are great. Incredible when you see them side my side with the BRP units - the quality is obvious. I don't really ride hard enough to do them justice but I am sure Lamont will.

Hey Lemont,

As my young fella would say they look "awesome"
Can you tell us how much they cost :yikes:

Where did you mount the reservoirs????:chat:

Magic Man called and said he's getting setup with them as a dealer. Talk to him about pricing.

I got the middle of the road version and it should do fine for me. I'll let you guys know asap.

I'm not running the KM air shock right now because I had one of the first ones on my Spyder and I had a problem with the ram that caused me to have to ride 700+ miles with no suspension. After that I decided that air was not for me because I travel to far away from home to have any kind of problem like that. They have redesigned the shock where that shouldn't be an issue again. Still it was hard for me to get it dialed in the way I liked it consistently so a fix shock is better for my needs.
