• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for right footrest remove and replace tips?

2011 RTL , ultimate goal of the project is changing the shift shaft. Need to remove the right footrest plate to remove shaft.

Has anyone removed the footrest support plate from the right side and reinstalled it. What are the steps for that?

The shop manual has no information on removing this. There is a section about adjusting the brake rod which requires removing the master cylinder and it will be a cold day in Hades before I remove a functioning master cylinder.

TIA

Chrome Footrest plate install instructions

Hi. I am looking for some instructions for installation of the chrome footrest plate kits on the v twin RT spyders.

Thanks

Back on the job after my angioplasty. I had a lot of trouble removing the right foot rest plate and at some point in time I believe the piston came out of the master cylinder. Lots of fluid on the bench. Pushed it back in but don't know if I damaged the seals. Is there a seal kit available?

Master Cylinder Questions

Update. Piston can't come out of Master Cylinder (M C). Fluid was not from the master cylinder. It was release oil I had sprayed on the bellows to make it easier to move.

M C Bellows has 3 incisions at 120 deg from each other on the largest diameter. Can anyone confirm that this is normal?20200824_182146.jpg
