• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Replaced my rear tire today at the dealer. Never threw a code in the life of the bike. Almost home on the turnpike and I go into Limp Mode. Check DPS. ABS fault. VSS fault.

They also cracked my display cover when I stalling my HIDs. Had to replace the cover and fix a dislodged cable that had me going a 140 (wish I had taken a pic of that just to mess with Docdoru).

Ideas? We' re towing the bike back Monday. Nothing but problems lately. Two months in the shop. Now two days sitting and waiting. Now this. Love my Spyder but can't live with much more of this.
 
It sounds like the dealer did something wrong. Who was it, I want to be sure to not take mine to them.
 
M & W Powersports. And believe it or not they are 10 times better than Honda of Tulsa. Not a great place to be a Spyder owner.
 
Check your relays and your battery connections. They are the two most common causes of multiple, cascading faults.
 
Is your tire the same size as the original? Also, someone else changed the rear tire and was way overinflated making it a larger diameter.
 
Should be. It's the tire from the dealer and is their replacement. And inflation is 24 which is about right. But worth checking the tire.
 
if you had a lot of wear on your tire and you replace it with a brand new one, you should have your repair shop download the latest software, even if it was just done before the tire was replaced , do not ask me why it is a spyder secret. no just kidding that is what i experienced, p2806
 
Sorry to hear Dochands. I haven't had to do anything to my Spyder yet and wondered which dealer in the Tulsa area would be better. Doesn't sound too encouraging.

Help much appreciated.

C0038 - Wheel sensor #3 (R) supply failure. Probably too big an air gap when the wheel was refitted or the harness wasn't reconnected.
C003- - I can't find this one. If it is C003A, it is Wheel sensor #4 (R) supply failure. Again, too much air gap or the harness. There is a feeler gauge in your tool kit.
P2545 - VSS failure, VSS message counter error, or VSS plausibility error. These are due to a VCM module fault, and can be caused by the wheel sensors. They can also be cause by a wiring issue or poorly connected or disconnected harness. If the wheel sensors are hooked up properly, check the VCM connector. It could have pulled loose when the swingarm was lowered to change the tire.

Technically, the dealer that flubbed this should have to fix it, but that is sometimes more bother than it is worth.
 
They are picking up the bike on Monday. I figured it was removing the wheel to mount the new tire. The kid they have working on my bike is in training. Sadly the expert tech has just had surgery for a tumor. Once again wish I lived much closer to Cowtown.

Picked up bike. Tried to clear codes with BUDS. NADA. Could see the rubber worn on the wheel sensor. Hopefully good to go by this weekend. Let's see. That makes about 10 weeks down now. Wonder if I can get a BEST extension.
