• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Possibly could be a bad oil pressure sensor or connection at sensor at bottom front right of engine....Mine went bad and and i got it out of Limp Mode be Switching ignition key on
and off three times....never threw a code just warning lite and limp mode.

Does anybody here know how to pull the active codes out of a GS?
(On the RTs you hold down both Mode & Set buttons and then push in the turnsignal control as if to cancel a signal...
I'm just not sure if it's the same for your model though...) :opps:

- Using MODE scroll to the Hr. screen on the cluster
- Hold down MODE button the left handlebar and the light switch on the left handlebar
- When you have those two buttons held down, with your left thumb flick the hi-beam flasher switch (down) 5 times fast - within two seconds

This is tricky to get it right it may take a few times.I copied the above from an old post because i was too lazy to go to the garage and get my manual.Good luck.

Last night I asked a simple question - is the limp mode deal common or is it one of those rare things that just seem to be a focus. I see on other boards that at times things like this dominate the discussions making one think it's a real defect when in fact it's just a couple people posting over and over.
So let me ask - is this somewhat common or rare but heavily dwelled upon?

My post last night was deleted - I guess this is a touchy or banned subject or something.
It was deleted because of your last comment. Don't try and make more out of it than it is.
Here's a simple question, do you have plans to ever buy a Spyder? My guess is no that's why I posted what I did.

My original questions still stand and the last comment of "never mind" was just that meaning if it's so painful to discuss as rational adults then just never mind. I guess you either totally agree and sing praise or you're banished.
That's not the case at all, if it was I would have pushed the banish button a long time ago and you're still here taking parting shots as you go.

Well I am at a loss. I will not ask another honest question. My RT's get quite a bit of attention and one question always asked is how do they compare to the Can-Am Spyders. Up until now my answer has always been "pretty much the same I guess"

From what I have learned here in the last few days I guess that answer has to be changed.

I thought the RT was a Can Am Spyder.

I have a 2009 SE5 and only had limp in mode once..It was my fault messing with mods...Ended up just a blown fuse on tailights..Love my Spyder !
