• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Limp home mode checking belt alignment?

Has anyone had this happen while checking the belt alignment? Is there a certain speed to stay under in order to not trigger the limp home mode/brake failure? Once it rolled a few feet on all three wheels it went back to normal. Unfortunately that code will be stored now.

Depends....

What you did. If you run the wheel in the air in gear you may get the codes and though they get stored if they don't come back your fine and if the dealer later tells you you have those codes you will know why. now if you knocked the abs sensor on the brake side out of alignment you will keep getting codes and limp screen till it is aligned properly....

It only did it while the rear wheel was jacked up and spinning to check alignment. As soon as I moved/rode it all the lights went out. I don't think I saw the speedometer go over 5 mph.

:agree: with Chewy ......and stored means nothing ......at one point I had 247 stored codes on a faulty SE switch , because the Dealer Tech couldn't FIND THEM :banghead::banghead::banghead: .......well Danny a BRP tech at Spyderfest 2014 did and cleared them from the memory BANK ( but not from the hard drive ).......I was later able to use His advice in helping the dealer Tech get my parts re-placed under warranty............Mike

You do not need to run the engine to do a belt alignment. I spin the wheel forward by hand and I can get the belt to track perfect using that method.

That's what I did later on. I spun it by hand about 10 revolutions and I'm about 2mm off the lip on the rear sprocket.
