• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Limp home faults

Please help, I started my spyder and back it down the driveway and " killed" it, started it back up and fault codes started flashing like crazy, limp home mode, abs fault, vcs fault and ebs fault, I already unhooked battery and that didn't help. I can still drive it but can't get over 3800 rpms, any ideas??

Two things to check.

1) low battery voltage or loose battery connections can cause all kinds of crazy faults. Since you say you disconnected the battery I assume you hooked it back up and made sure both connections were tight?

2) The rear wheel sensor is damaged, out of alignment, or disconnected. It will throw just about all those faults the minute you start rolling!
Check that sensor. They will not clear until you get rolling again and the sensor is working. Then they will clear. My 2011 I jacked it up off the rear tire to adjust the belt and ran it in gear. All those faults showed up. No matter how long I took the key out, they did not clear until I drove it down the road. Then they cleared.

Have to agree..!!

:agree: just make sure your connections are tight and groungs are good.

All relays have been checked :( and battery is connected good. We checked the sensor connections but didn't unhook them. The closest can am dealer is 2 hours away and was extremely rude since I'm a girl

Well that sucks! I am sorry to hear that. If you were local I for sure would try to help you.

Bottom line I think you have to see a dealer at this point. Hopefully some good member here will recommend one in your area that wont be jerks.

If you have a mobile device install Roger's APP called myspyder as it lists dealers in your state.

Also ask the great ladies in the Lady forum.

I really hope you get taken care of.

Since you have already checked and cleaned the battery connections, if you have access to a battery charger, I would charge the battery before I did anything else. Spyders are very sensitive to low voltage so it could be a weak or bad battery as well as loose or dirty connections.
