Has anyone had a problem with their front shocks? Mine are frozen and can't be adjusted. Tech tried, and gave up. They opened a case with BRP. Now we wait. :hun: Tom :spyder:
They have threaded adjusters on the bottom of the shocks. They are frozen is all they said. The service writer asked if I wanted to ok 3-4 hours to remove the shocks to "try" to free them up. $400 plus tax? Elka shocks run $700 brand new. I told them it's a warranty issue, BRP needs to pay. So, a case was opened. Now waiting for an answer. :yikes: Tom :spyder:
Dealer called this afternoon. BRP ok'd the labor to remove the shocks to free up the adjusters. And reinstall. I have no doubts they can free them up. Just wanted BRP to pay to do it. This dealership is a strictly by the book one. I still need to find a spanner wrench to do this. The one I have won't fit. :banghead: Now, If only BRP can figure out the radio. :banghead: Their answer was a joke! :roflblack: MUSHU goes back on Monday. Tom :spyder:
Tom Ebay has spanners that fit in fact the better ones on there fit several sizes. Bruce

I just looked at 500 wrenches. What wording did you use? None say they fit the Can Am's. Just about every other make is mentioned. I have SACH shocks on the limited. Those aren't mentioned at all. :dontknow: Very confusing to this old fart. :roflblack: Tom :spyder:

Yet another dealer trying to rip off a customer. Even if they DID need to remove and replace the shocks, its less than a hour job.

They are universal as the nut on the shock is 60.75mm dia you really need 2 off them because you have to hold the top one and undo the bottom with the wheels off the ground, I modified the one I kept from my RS and I did a naughty thing I held the top nut with large poly grips and used the modified RS C spanner to undo the bottom they are tight.
