• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dealer has the Spyder ready. It was quite a job he said. Even after removing the shocks from the Spyder the adjusters wouldn't move. It wasn't until they removed the springs from the shock body that they moved easily. So they adjusted the shocks. But aded, I would need to go through the same process if I wanted to adjust them again. Piss poor set up is what he called it. Tom :spyder:

spanner wrench

Unfortunately, there is always potential for the BS factor. Have you lifted the Spyder, used some lubricant on the threads and used 2 spanner wrenches as suggested above to see if they are actually frozen?

do you sell a spanner wrench that works

Well, that is right up close to worthless. Adjusters that don't adjust sound pretty much like no adjusters at all. I'd ask for a set of shocks that actually worked. That's what you paid for.

Ron, I'm wondering if a spring compressor would do the same thing? Rather than removing the shocks. Probably doesn't pay to buy one of those. :dontknow: Tom :spyder:

I just went out and adjusted mine.. took about 2 minutes to do both sides. Here's what I used. IMG_5436.jpg

I wouldn't trust any tech that can't handle a simple shock adjustment....

When the adjusters are frozen together not much you can do. Without dinging them up or risk bending them. They even used a shock spring compressor to get the pressure off of them. And BRP agreed. They said to remove the shocks to free them up. Or replace if they couldn't. Not the first time BRP has had the problem. :banghead: Dealers tech is one of the best in the country. :firstplace: Tom :spyder:
