I got the metal key heads. Painted them.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have used the IPS key that I got from our Spyder sponsor for 2 years. Unless you are in the know you wouldn't know that the key was there. Maybe I've just been luck but it sure is nice not to carry a key.

I agree 100%. I have the IPS (In Plain Sight) key holder as well. However, it's nice to have the leather holder I showed above for your spare key.

Me too....they emailed me to say that shipping to the UK would be $11...

In case anyone is like me and doesn't really like having spider logos all over my bike, i talked with the guys over at http://buschandbusch.bigcartel.com/p...yder-key-cover and they told me they emboss the leather themselves, so if you want it plain or in my case i was looking at doing a biohazard symbol, they can do that. Just email them or call and they will set ya up =)

I apologize for the delay in responding. I hadn't been following this thread since I posted. Please forgive.
Actually the picture I posted was from an earlier thread. I'd say it was at least three years ago. I did order and receive this holder. Mine was black. I think I like the tan better.
To specifically answer your question, I had a bit of difficulty getting the leather holder entirely over my key head. It took some pullin, cussin and just down right force to get it to fit. It does look good though once accomplished.
As I said earlier in this thread, I use this for my spare. I have the IPS key holder and leave my key in the spyder most all of the time. I know I know. It will probably be stolen one of these days. I do follow a couple of procedures though when I park. I never back into a parking space. What I mean by that is that I pull in. My thinking is that a person who may want to steal my spyder won't know how to put it in reverse. (or if they do figure it out, I'll be out of the store by that time). Secondly, I do use the kill switch. Not too sure how many can figure that one out too.
