• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This is the first video of Holly's journey to learn how to ride a Spyder. I am by no means a professional instructor, but will teach her the best I can. She is very excited to learn this and we want to share this journey with you all. More to come soon.

How to ride

Thank you that was good to watch . I have had my spider for a week and learned something from you that I did not know. My teacher rides a Harley and my bike was new to him also. Watching Holly's face was fun. Hope she actually got to ride it and get her own.

:congrats:, nice job, I'm being pedantic here but a really good habit to get into is always have your foot on the brake when stopped. A good habit that will become second nature, even in neutral or first gear when stopped foot on brake. If some one bumps you from behind, you're not going to go anywhere and because your foot is on the brake, your partly braced. Later on because it is so natural to have your foot on the brake, learning to hill start will be easier.

I'm not being critical, that was an excellent start and bravo, you will running off with the spyder in no time and Randy will have to get another one.

...This is great!...I had my wife driving around a parking lot,and she was scared to death....I am going to show this to her, maybe Holly can make her feel better about learning...

Ok Randy, Robin wants you to do an SE5 Video with her as a student. All though she was in a parking lot last year, no time so far this year, So at SITA.....

Holly video

I learned a new term on SL a few weeks ago...would Holly be an example of a "Squid?" ;) lol. Seriously, I lliked your video. Keep up the good work.

Great!!!
Turn Off with the KILL SWITCH!!

I say she needs a RT SE Transmission!!!!:clap::clap:

And YOU can ride that Ole Manual Thing???:hun:

Randy, good job covering the basics. A suggestion, I know its common sense, but you may want to clarify the emergency use of the engine cut-off switch. It should be used in an emergency when you want to cut off the power to the engine. There may be emergencies that will still require power to the engine. No disrespect intended, I guess its the old MSF instructor coming out in me:D Dale

Wow!
Randy, I'm so happy that you are teaching Holly how to operate the Spyder! :2thumbs: I can't wait to see more of this series; Especially when she's at the dealer buying her own RT SE 5 and you're watching the dollars and freedom just disappear!! :yikes:
You're gonna need a bigger trailer, Buddy! :ohyea:
