• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Learn How To Ride A RS SM5 Video Thread / With Holly As The Student[/h]
This is the first video of Holly's journey to learn how to ride a Spyder. I am by no means a professional instructor, but will teach her the best I can. She is very excited to learn this and we want to share this journey with you all. More to come soon.

Wow!
Randy, I'm so happy that you are teaching Holly how to operate the Spyder!I can't wait to see more of this series; Especially when she's at the dealer buying her own RT SE 5 and you're watching the dollars and freedom just disappear!!
You're gonna need a bigger trailer, Buddy!
Those are dollars well spent. If money can bring that big endless smile to anyone it's completely worth it.

I wound up with 2 Spyders instead of 1 and my only regret is I can't protect her myself. Now I have to protect her by teaching her the best way to be safe. And she's kept it right side up longer than I have :opps:

Fantastic video Randy, can't wait to see more and send them to friends.

I'm pretty sure that HOLLY thinks that it is! :roflblack:
Make him sweat!
RT Limited, matching 622 trailer, every BRP option in the catalog! :2thumbs:
(I think I just heard Randy's head hit the floor!

Great job Randy & Holly! Looking forward to the sequel!

On a side note....I gotta get some powder coating done this winter, love that look! ;)

Freakin' awesome. This should be a new reality television series! Just needs a catchy title. How about Holly Day Ryding with Randy

Teaching...

Could this be happening here??? " Show me a man who THINKS he's smarter than his wife and I'll show you a man with a very smart wife " ! Gotta watch them there women....they're tricky rascals . Afore ya know it there'll be two RTs.

Randy,

I like the video. But, I have a question. Do you park and leave your SM5 in neutral (level surface of course)? I ask b/c you had Holly shut off the spyder by placing in neutral first. I know we all do it (shut off the spyder) differently and this is no criticism of your video and I'm not being my normal sarcastic self. Just wondering.

Yes, people do things differently. With that said.........

I always leave my Spyder in neutral on a flat level surface, it's 700lbs so it isn't going anywhere and it's one less step I have to do to start it. This also eliminates the issue of gear stick. Gear stick (I'm not sure of the real name of it) is that spot in the gear where it is very difficult to get it out of gear without rolling the bike a few inches or so.

When on a incline, I leave it in first and have never used the parking brake since I owned it. IMO, there is no reason to use it on the SM5 Spyder (that would be like using it in your car). I also have never used the kill switch either, but I wanted to get Holly familiar with what it is even though you don't need it under normal use.

Granted........ these might be habits I have learned over the years of owning different machines, but they have never once proved themselfs to be wrong and the Spyder is no exception.

What works; works! :agree:
Soooo.... when is the next installment of "Holly gets to pick out her RT" going to be shown??
