• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Laser Alignment

And that is over 148", so in reality you had .6727 inches tow-out across the front which is allot. You should have had wear on the inside of both tires. When I first started doing alignment back in 2009 I had 1/2" of toe-out and it wasn't good.

BLACK WIDOW TIRES BY VEE RUBBER

With rear wheel alignment being so crucial, I take it that each time you have the rear wheel replaced and/or belt aligned you would need a new laser alignment?

Mike changed all 3 tires , 2 months ago to test the new Black Widow tires from Vee Rubber, Norm changed his tires too.

When they changed the rear tire they counted the turns on the rear adjuster and went right back to the same original location. So if you change the rear wheel just make sure they DO NOT change the location of the rear wheel in relationship to the swing arm and that the belt is in the same spot.

We rechecked with the lasers and it was spot on.

One of the worst that Lamonster and Harvey did: toe out 1" 1/2 left, toe out 2" 1/2 right :yikes:
The results: better than ever ridding (both sharp left and right at high speed) + constant 30 miles/tank better mileage!!!
Elka's stage 3, BR sway bar, Michelin 225/55/15 rear. 238K miles.

Glad we were able to get you going down the road straight and true. :doorag:

So, I'm confused which isn't all the surprising. Does riding 2 up effect the alignment? Is the alignment done with rider on board? Does the weight of either rider matter?

Riding two up has little effect on alignment, the weight forward is what changes things and that is taken into account when setting the rear targets and shooting for a projected toe in. You can check your toe after with a rider but the results are very repeatable. The range of toe out runs pretty much the same for a rider 150lbs to 250lbs.

Alignment Done

I just had the laser alignment done at Blackman's in Emmaus, PA. Mine was correct as is. No adjustment needed. Since Blackman's didn't have to make any changes, they just charged me half price. Now that's a fair deal!
