• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lamonster RTW Project- Drift HD170

HD170

:spyder2: Nice job on the camera looks great .

QUOTE=Lamonster;390879]I really love my Drift HD170 for shooting HD

videos and just started using it with the remote for taking pics. The last time I took pics with it I had it mounted on the trunk and that worked fine but now I'm wanting something a little more fixed. I decided to mount a RAM ball on my side deflector shields on the inside so it doesn't disturb the air flow when the camera is not mounted. You pretty much wouldn't even know it's there if you weren't looking for it. I'm pretty happy with this location. :doorag:

Taken with it mounted on the trunk and shot going down the road.

Just a suggestion, but what about mounting it to the fender support arm in a manner similar to reggys adaptive running lights? Camera always pointed where you're going. And if you have the running lights, it's always illuminated. Mount one on both fenders and you could theoretically make some incredible 3d videos with a camera separation that wide.

Lamont, when you drilled the holes in the deflectors, did you use a special drill bit, or just one that was sharp? I've never drilled a hole in plastic and want to be sure I don't crack it. Also, is there a technique that should be used, such as start out at a lower/faster RPM, etc..??

Thanks!
Anita

Nothing special, just not too fast or it will melt the plastic.
