• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Got my cap today but it did not have the special tools to install it without taking the Spyder apart. Anyone have that special wrench to reach the nut under the top cover? Can you tell me what size opening or nut it is so I can fab my own? The little wire for fishing the ground wire should not be hard to figure out. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, that's exactly what I wanted to know. I may be able to tape a 8MM open end wrench to a piece of scrap metal and get that bend to do the same thing. All it does is hold the nut from turning so you can turn the bolt out from the top.

I love it when I can solve things like this with things laying around the shop. Didn't have to make a call and wait for tools to be shipped.

Speaking of special tools, where do you get those special torx wrenches with the hole in the middle for those pins that keep the body parts on? What do they call them, anyway? I am a new owner and never had a use for that type of tool before. Thanks.

Those screws are not to be removed. The only hold on the push pins so there is no reason to remove them. The side panels that they are attached to you just pull on the panel( after removing the other screws) to pull the panel off.

I have a set of those Torx with the hole in the middle. bought them at Lowes where they sell both kinds.
