Kudo's for my new windshield!

So, this time I don't have a question. Hopefully a good tip.

I received my new windshield from Cee Bailey's last week and it is great! No more wind in my face or chest. I highly recommend checking into the website if you're in need of a different windshield. It's not too tall, well under my eye level, and the design goes nicely with the Spyder.

A thank you to everyone who has answered this fairly new "ryder's" questions and concerns. I appreciate the support. :2thumbs:

You can add your pictures as an attachment to your post (Manage Attachments button down in Additional Options) or by this method.
Well, I put two pictures in my album, but I'm not sure how to get them to the post. I'm thinking you can click on YSWMN and get to my album. Let me know if that works.

It worked, interesting design does it keep any wind off of your hands?
the fall in Michigan tends to be cool at times.

what size did you order and how tall are you? nice looking sheild.....

I agree. Waiting to see the new BRP Ultra Tour shield since it looks like it may provide some hand protection. The Cee Bailey looks like it leaves the hand exposed. Riding in sub 50 degree weather really requires a shield for the hands or heavy insulated gloves.

The Cee Bailey looks way better than the new BRP Ultra Tour in the new parts catalog this weekend. Looks like an old snow mobile or 4 wheeler windshield. :barf:

I agree that the BRP Ultra Tour is a pretty big shield. For most of my riding, I am happy with the BRP Tour shield. My recent experience with cold weather has me looking not only for a larger shield to deflect more wind, but one that may offer some hand protection. From the photos of the BRP UT, it looks like it fills in some of the space around the mirrors that may offer hand protection. The side cutouts on the Cee Bailey look like the hands are fully exposed. I would only plan to use the bigger shield for early spring and late fall.

Hi,

Cee Bailey sells 4 different heights, which one do you have and how tall are you? What do you find regarding hand protection.

thanks,

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess. :dontknow: I find the look of the Cee Bailey very odd, with the cutouts at the bottom and flaring at the top. I much prefer the look of the BRP Ultra Touring Windshield, which looks like a much more protective cold-weather screen. In warm weather, I would probably leave the stock shield on.

Very true. I actually find pretty much all of the shields available to be odd looking. Some of them even remind me of the queen from the Alien movies. I did recently put the BRP touring shield on and it works quite well for me. Of course living in Florida I rarely have to deal with extreme cold and when I do it's the upper 30's low 40's which isn't really that cold. I've actually considered a set of brush guards for the hands.

I have been looking at various brush guards and hand shields as an alternative, but have found none that fit the Spyder. I'm sure someone will come up with a hand shield for those of us who do not want to go with heated grips.

I bought these today for the spyder - for cold weather riding

http://www.mooseutilities.com/products.jsp?level1=973&product_group_id=2607

They fit pretty well and come right off in 10 seconds…..I think this is a cheap way to keep my hands warm when riding in weather below 40 degrees.

I will try to upload pictures of them on the spyder.

I will wait to see the photos. If I understand the concept, it looks like a wrap around the hand controls that you stick your hands inside.
