On or Off the ground reading CAN NOT be the same ..... Off the ground folks claim is more accurate ..... However if you then lower Spyder to the ground and take that reading The difference will be that ALL the time.... How many people take the time to jack up the Spyder EVERY time they want a reading .... If they believe it's the ONLY way - I bet they NEVER take a reading .....I have my RT belt at 160lbs. on the ground ....I no longer have any Belt VIBES ...I don't have the spring tensioner .........good luck ...... the one thing that keeps popping up in in my head is, nothing is ever mentioned
about the belt being hot or cold when checked . on my victory they wanted it dead cold, overnight preferably.
was always told with the belt components, it actually gets tighter when hot. what say the
spyder gurus? have been meaning to ask this for over 2 years.

I have a 2018 RTL ,with about 1500 km .Never felt any vib till yesterday. When passing at 120 km or so ,it would vib bad and sure felt like in the belt area. Felt like running on a rumble strip . Is this what others are complaining about ?![]()
Funny thing is i ride with a lot of Harley guys ,and they never complain of belt vibration.
I need to look into why Im getting vibration. I am also using a RR belt tentioner and still get it.

I took the cover off and found the tensioner spring is either broken or off somehow. What now? I put the red locktite per instructions and don’t know if I can remove it.What tension are you running?
