• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

K&N Air Filter Install - Pics Inside

Nicely done spyderwolf. I have had the green filter and it works fine and then i decided i did not want to mess with oil in the airbox at all!! so i bought the kewelmetal set up. Yes it does make the bike louder but only till you get up to speed. The green filter works just fine and if evan was offering a simular set up to kewelmetals i would have bought from him he has always been helpful to me and if you call him and he does not answer he will call you right back. Before anyone asks no i'am not selling my airbox i may want to return to stock if and when i sell. The green filter will go with it.

I have contemplated getting the Kewl Metal set up many times, but am afraid that will also lead me straight down the Juice Box highway, and I would rather not mess with all of that right now. I am having too much fun doing other things with my Spyder at the moment. :D

To Sarge,

Down here I can buy the identical air filter for about $2.00. The air filter for the four cylinder Dodge Dart, K Car, and Phantom are identical to the Spyder OEM filter. I don't see where the K&N filter is any saving and as to it breathing better who knows. And to reused the K&N you have to wash it.

You sent this price information: interesting Comparison:
Stock Filter- $32
K & N Filter- $54
ESI Filter- $68
Evoluzione- $70
Such Decisions?:dontknow:

You can get the Purolator A13192 or NAPA Gold 6120 filters as stock replacements for around $10 each. However, they are still paper and lose effectiveness once soaked with oil from the air box. The K&N and Green filters are designed to be oiled and are still effective even with the blow by oil. Cleaning the K&N is very easy with the Recharger kit, and only takes a matter of hours to fully dry before re-applying the oil to it.

So, the savings comes from only having the one filter for the life of your Spyder versus throwing them away whenever they get soaked with oil.

I had actually ordered the JB Pro directly from Two Bros. without knowing it was a pre-order. After nearly 3 months of waiting I gave up on it and cancelled the order. I wish you the best in tinkering with yours.
