Just WONDERING WHY ????????

I am just wondering why someone, when placing their information on the forum
this one or any forum for that matter, would put their location as.... USA ?
That is a very large, no giant area of the planet. You may just as well say your
location is Planet Earth... are they not proud of where they live or are they paranoid
or just not sure where they are...
It's kinda fun replying to a post when you can see they are in Texas, North Carolina,
California or Vancouver BC Canada, Stockport England and such.
Any others ever wonder the same as I

They probably believe the only way for "Them" to track them would be by filling out their city and state.

Not that IP logging could give the same info or anything. If you use the internets you ARE being tracked.

Adobe has web tools for businesses that can change your web experience based on your cookies, IP address (which yields city and state), previous site visited and all kind of other fun metadata in an attempt to sell you more from a given site.

These "changes" include different imagery, product views, recommendations and even button color.

Anonymity is dead! Unless of course you unplug.

me? i don't care either way... i think it's KOOL when i PM somebody, and they live in Alaska, or England, or Viet Nam... but that doesn't faze some people... we all have our own opinions... and that's what makes us all so unique... just enjoy your life, and let other do the same...
