• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

just out of curiousity would you go to a event

that is a tough question?????? Personally, we are planning on still going to all events from July on this year with the hope that this ugly virus crap will be mostly subsided by then..

Good luck! I certainly hope that you’re right, but.....

As 2dogs said - i am not interested in taking risk just for an event, tho the need to ryde is definitely strong.

No for this year, just cancelled hotel reservations for the Deadwood 3 wheel rally. Maybe next year if things work out and are safe.

Maybe in 2021 if things work out and we are safe.

I hate to be a downer, but realistically, the current situation will most likely continue until a vaccine is widely available. Under the current method of sheltering in place, after the first round of restrictions are lifted, either in whole or in part, there will in all likelihood be a second round of restrictions necessary to retard a second wave of infections. After that, it will most likely be dependent upon the form the virus takes in the fall and winter, meaning whether or not is has mutated enough to cause a threat to the previously infected people.

If it has, we will most likely be in the same situation all over again. Until a vaccine or a reliable treatment is available, we are going to be in an ongoing process of isolating ourselves from potential sources of infection.

Even if a large percentage of the population develops immunity to the virus, we will still be sidelined until a vaccine or treatment is widely available. We moved to Tennessee just before the crap hit the fan, with plans of going back to Illinois and bringing our truck and Spyder back. That never happened and we are without both. It sucks supremely!

No until a vaccine is developed. WHO is predicting a second onslaught in China soon and this will start over again. Any large crowds can boost the chances of reinfection again.

Only if it is the ceremony where the state treasurer presents me with the lotto grand prize check in Tallahassee.

We are hopeful SpyderQuest in September will go on. have motel reservations and are waiting to hear. Registration has been pushed back a month to give some time to the organizers to ponder. Plan is to go if deemed safe. Big if at this point. Many on this thread, it seems are playing it safe and I do not blame them. Many of us Spyder owners/ryders are "vintage" and have health issues anyway. Be safe all.

Most likely not going to any events or gatherings until this is over and I'm thinking it won't be this year.
We are still registered and rooms reserved for Ride The Rock 2020 in Port Alberni, BC this August But I'm thinking it may get cancelled. Hope not but it getting serious everywhere. Stay safe everyone.
