• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just ordered VREDESTEIN QUATRAC SL.

Ordered in 205/65 r15. It also is in 205/60 r15. Do both sizes work?

Yes.....Mike:thumbup:

:agree: Gotta Agree with Mike's comment above, but juust to add a little more to the explanation, from what I've been given on their physical dimensions (& not just going by their nominal sizes :p ) it looks like in those tires, a 225/60 & a 205/65 are verrrry close in actual rolling diameter (less than 2mm - & who knows/cares what that is in fractions of an inch! ); the 205/60 is a tad less than 1/2" smaller than the 205/65 in rolling diameter (just under 10mm); and there's pretty much the same difference in width between the 225 & both the 205's - the 225 having almost 1/2 an inch (or if you like metric numbers, just over 10mm) of extra tread width on the road than the 205's! :p

So if you only want the nitty gritty about speedo correction & handling etc, the 225/60 & the 205/65 should be equally as good at correcting your speedo & odo/trip meter (see my previous post on those errors not necessarily the same &/or the same as any one else's! :lecturef_smilie: ) and if you always try to only ever ride on dry roads, then the verrry small hydroplaning resistance advantage that you might get by running either of the 205's instead of a 225 is probably outweighed by the verrry slight advantage that the wider tire might give you in achieving a longer tire life, IF you always run it at or near the right pressure for the load & conditions you are riding in/on that day... :banghead:

Or if you really only want to talk fractions, then there's 2/5th's of 5/8th's of a bee's whisker between any of them! All three Quatrac SL's (225/60R15; 205/65R15; or 205/60R15) should work fine, but how well really depends upon your riding/your riding needs/wants/desires! :ohyea: (with the usual 'run at the right pressure' caveat, of course!! )

Just Sayin' :roflblack:

Didn’t see it in 225. Looks like the 60 has a smaller diameter and is wider than the 65 in the 205 size. Should have a larger footprint? :dontknow:

No sir. Footprint is exactly the same. 205mm wide. The 60 will be shorter because the sidewall is 60% as tall as the width. The 65 will be taller for the same reason.

One other thing is putting a narrow tire on the wide rim won't be as tall as the same tire on a narrow rim.
Don't ask me how I know.

Any of those sizes mentioned will fit your Rims ..... the difference in size is very small ......Mike

Just a short note here, There is no such tire as a VREDESTEIN QUATRAC SL, The SL stands for Standard Load and has a max pressure of 35psi, XL's are to 41psi
It is not a tire model
