• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi
I'm Mr. MO Spyder And I would like to know if anyone has installed one of j&m's cb's on their SE5. Their web page say's it's only for the SM5.

Do you know what the issues are? Is it only the mounting bracket?
Making a modified bracket would not be a problem.
I just don't want to spend $600.00 and find out there are electrical/electronic issues.

She also has the 4" handlebar riser's.

Thanks for any information you may have.

It's the bracket. I've installed a J&M that was originally installed on a Yamaha by making a different bracket. You can view the full write up here:

The photos don't show a pair of stand-off spacers that were fabricated to space the bracket out from the control housings. I used 50mm length screws to replace the originals; I believe I got them at Lowe's.

In the end, I'm not impressed with the system's capabilities. You'd might get a 1/4 mile of range from it.
