• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It is time to legalize.

If you can't cope in this world without drugs, pot, and alcohol maybe you should not be here. Try a little counseling and stop blaming all your problems on your Mom and Dad. They did the best they could with what little they had to work with!
:joke:

Try a little Reality Therapy. It works wonders and makes you feel better about yourself. Well I guess by now you know how I feel about the subject.

Jack
Now here is a man I can respect. While I don't agree with the premise that people get high because they can't cope (you could say the same about religion), I respect his opinion for the fact he didn't single out weed as the lone demon.

But for the record Jack, also throw coffee in there. I mean it is a stimulant just like amphetamines, so really no difference.

Well, you may be missing out on some great employees. What an employee does off the clock is frankly none of your business.
As a business owner, my take is as long as it doesn't affect your job performance and you're not doing it AT work.... Then have at it.

Here in Battle Creek, a man was fired from Walmart distribution because he tested positive for pot. The man was a 10 year employee with stage 4 cancer.
Using pot helps the man be able to eat and manages his pain and seizures..... Yet Walmart fired him.
Prescription drugs cause far more addiction and death than all street drugs combined. That is where the real abuse is in America..... Brought to you by big pharma.

my problem isn't the person using pot but it keeps his brain fuzzy for hours later, would you like someone to install your
wheel & may forget to tighten your lug nuts? how about he is on a machine that you have to be careful with or you
will hurt yourself or damage MY equipment? if my painter smoked pot during HIS lunch break would you be upset if your
wheel had a drip in the paint or clear?
I absolutely have no problem with legallizing pot the way cigarettes & alcohol are legal but i won't allow it to interfere
with my business or life.

:agree: My nephew used to work for Kohl's. Used to...
When he ran his head into something solid; they took him to the medical station for a bit of a touch-up. They also did some sort of test (Maybe a blood test?), that showed he had been smoking...
He was gone in a flash! :banghead: He lost a really decent job complete with benefits. Worst of all; he KNEW about their drug policy, and chose to ignore it. :gaah:

Your nephew was not the stupid one here. Our conservative christian society is the problem. He was just doing an act that until 1935 was perfectly legal. And as you stated, an act performed not on the job, but the weekend prior. A pee test can show traces of THC for up to a month after use. The swob test is like a two or three day thing, so even that isn't a good gauge for telling if people are under the influence at the moment. Better testing needs to be developed.

Hypothetical question Bob.

The powers to be in their infinite wisdom outlaw bacon and lets say firearms. You work for a company that now has a zero tolerance for the new laws. Are you going to sit there and tell me you are never going to eat bacon again or never own another gun (cannabis is safer to use than those two items). Does this sound silly to you? That is just how silly it is to criminalize cannabis. No matter how you slice it, this is suppression at it's finest.

I have to stop talking about this subject. I'm beginning to feel the urge to light up. And where I work they have a zero tolerance for cannabis use (even if you have a MM card)

Oh what is a person to do?

Hence why I've said 'not under the influence' while at work.

But Dan
Aren't the folks who are under the influence of it... the LEAST capable of realizing that fact? :dontknow:

It's crazy for an employer to drug test unless there's a problem with the employees performance.
Is take a guy that smokes weed over an oxy addict any day.... Yet they won't test for oxy because it's 'legal'.
