• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Intermitent Chatter when taking off in 1st gear on 2010 rt-s

I was wondering if anyone had some ideas. I just had my 2010 rt-s laser aligned and new rubber on the back. This week. (What A world of difference) i started getting a chattering when accelerating intermittently from a dead start. I checked the oil and was a bit low so i added some of the same brand my dealer uses. It no longer stalls but every 5th start (acceleration from dead stop it chatterers/gags) Once i get going in 2nd gear it shifts fine and accelerates well with no other issues. No error codes ever thrown. I am not quite due for an oil change but scheduled one for next week. Could this be the problem or is there something else i should be looking into.

Thanks
Troy

I have the same issue on my 2013. Sounds awful when it happens. The best description is it's close to the chatter produced if you try to drive a manual tranny away from a dead stop in a higher gear. The dealer says many 2013s have the issue but they don't know how to fix it. I also have occasional stalling issues. Not a very satisfactory answer. No codes are produced. I plan to upgrade to a '14 or '15, so I'm going to let them worry about it. Please let us know if you find a solution.

Have to agree..!!

:agree: check oil level condition and when you had the change of filters and oil done. If your not ryding much or far you may need a hard run to loosen things up and flush disks and plates...:thumbup:o

If this started happening after you had the tire put on in the rear, is it possible they over tightened the rear shaft causing the bearings to be pinched a bit. Just a thought.
