There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Interesting vid...I was more impressed with the system before I watched....haha. Now, I don't know....

I bought the Stop and Go pocket plugger and watched the video. I note there is no rubber cement so what adheres the plug to the tire? The plugs do not seem sticky in any way. Also mine did not include the cutting tool so will have to find one. Nicely made tools but not so sure it would work all that well. Anyone have experience using this kit?

Air pushes the mushroom head to hold plug in place. Used for years and has never failed until I can check tire condition.

Ok keep this in mind, a plug is only a quick temporary repair. For car tires TIA & RMA both state in order to repair a tire you
need to remove tire from the wheel, inspect the injury & then do your repair. For runflat & mc tires i would only do a combi
patch, that is a plug patch in one. I understand when riding if i got a nail i would do a plug but first chance i have i would
replace with a permanent repair. In the video they mention AAA stating that the 16penny nail is the most common, well i
just did a spot that will be aired on CBS news in a few weeks along with rob sinclair from AAA. My shop demonstrated a
proper tire repair as done with a combi patch. I have worked with AAA corporate for over 20 years(that's why i wrote stuff
on the nitrogen forum) and they asked me to do the spot because they know i am an expert & very cautious on tire & wheel repair.
I have chimed in many times about tire & wheel stuff with many of you probably blowing it off, well to tell you the truth I
don't care, I do what I know is right & never force others to do my recommendations. If you come to my shop & you don't want
us to do it the right way I will turn you away. I will not be the cause of your accident but I won't lose any sleep if something happened & you knew better or were just to cheap to do it right.
I have been following the tire repair laws in NYS since 2011 & found out yesterday our politicians are even dumber then I
previously believed. NYS no longer gives a damn about tire safety but that will not change the way I do things.
My expertise is tire-wheel & tpms I know absolutely nothing about mechanical & don't touch my :spyder2: or car because I
prefer to have it done right.

TIRES ?

I AGREE WITH YOU 1000 % ESPECIALLY ON A MOTORCYCLE [ 2 OR 3 WHEELS ] ! I WILL NOT PLUG OR REPAIR A TIRE ON A BIKE !!!!! TIRES ARE NOT THAT EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE !!!!! I WOULD NEVER TAKE A CHANCE ON MY LIFE OR THE LIFE OF MY RIDER FOR THE PRICE OF A NEW TIRE !!!!! FORTUNATELY IN ALMOST 50 YEARS RIDING I HAVE NEVER HAD A FLAT OR DAMAGED TIRE !

Ok but I do need to ask you.
If you were to have this happen to you (it did to me). You find yourself 30 miles from the nearest town on a empty two lane country road with a flat tire from a nail. What would you do?

What I did was patch the tire and than road to the nearest dealer and had the tire replaced.

So how would you proceed?

about an hour after i wrote the post i had a bmw mc come in, he had a nail in his tire & asked for a plug but he had also told
me he ordered a new tire & was going to have it installed once it came in.
I personally would do the plug & first chance i have i would do a combi patch or if after i removed tire & did not like what i
see I would replace tire. I am well aware that a new tire is less then my insurance deductible.

I am not saying you should never have a plug, what I am saying is do so as an emergency repair & first opportunity get it fixed.
the right way. I have 15 years until I plan on retiring & enjoying my life with my :spyder2: & my wife, I will do what I can to
make it that long & then some.

I'll plug ANY tire if the alternative is being stranded. I'm comfortable running plugs in my car tires long term as long as its not through the sidewall.
My motorcycle and spyder I'd probably swap it out at the first chance I got. I'd also be pretty conscientious of that plugged tire and ride much more cautiously until I had the chance to swap.
A tire going flat on a bike is much different than in the car.
Never had a flat on the spyder so I have no idea how it responds??

I asked that very question a few years back. It was never answered. I guess no one on this forum has ever had a blow out or a flat tire while riding on a spyder OR they just preferred not to answer.
