• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Insurance help

I went with progressive today they beat gieco by almost $700
Im sure theyres a lot of factors. I live in michigan and its no fault insurance and Im 25, proggressive was one of the highest ones for me. AAA wouldnt even insure a spyder for whatever reason.

I shopped around before I got Geico. It was the lowest for the coverage I wanted. Living in Nevada any insurance is not cheap so I was happy with the price I am paying with Geico.

Read the policy carefully

:agree:

The :spyder2: was my 1st byke & I was clueless about MC Insurance. Everywhere I called was outrageous til someone on here recommended Marc Fisher & he was able to get me full coverage with towing & everything for almost 1/2 of what the other companies were quoting me. Great service as well  Can't hurt to give him a chance to earn your business & probably save some $$ as well :2thumbs: Good luck in yur search & let us know how you make out

for that matter, read the application carefully.

I have Progressive via USAA. I got a nice discount for being a USAA member for 20+ years. Plus, discounts for attending a certified Motorcycle Safety Course and having a motorcycle endorsement. Plus, Progressive gives a very nice discount for paying the annual premium in advance.:2thumbs:

Ditto.... That is what I did! USAA & Progressive
I have been pleased over the years :2thumbs:

I went with progressive and I'm 28. Costs me about $780 for full coverage. I have my cars with esurance but they quoted me $2000/year :yikes:

Lots of ideas and solutions above. I recommend working with a local agent who knows you, and will be the one to deal with when and if the coverage is needed.

Have had State Farm since 1965--they cover my home and all three vehicles--1 car--two motorcycles. My coverage runs about $60 per month for each of my motorcycles--RTS and a Vulcan.

Rates are based on age, driving record, location---etc, etc, etc.

The three times I have had accidents--with the car---never on the bikes--they have come through and paid what was needed to get me back on the road. All accidents someone elses fault--so my rates did not even go up based on the claims. (one car was totaled).

I have said this many times--cheapest is not necessarily the best--its cheap because they have to cut something. My last accident involved an out of control driver on icey roads--that smacked the right side of my Subaru--did $2000 damage. The driver came way to fast up to a stoplight at an intersection--slammed on the brakes and started doing 360's on the ice. They were insured by Geico--who promptly refuted the claim--they said I was hit because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time---State Farm got me the money anyway. The offending driver also took out two other vehicles and totaled her car. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.

I avoided major damage because Subaru was able to drive up the center snow berm to avoid additional problems. After the hit--I headed for the median and avoided the rest of the chaos.
