• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Insurance for new Spyder

I made a few calls today and Allstate offers a very good policy for $349 a year, including towing. State farm has a good price too, but Allstate's was better. Very happy and now will be buying my Spyder this week.

Congrats on both, buying a new SpYder & getting a reasonable price for your ins.:clap::clap:

That is a good price. I just switched from a $435 policy to a $375 and thought I was doing pretty good. Will check Allstate next year.

And I thought I was getting stung because my policy for my 2013 RT cost me $219/yr with Geico compared to the $116/yr for my 2005 Goldwing! Maybe it's my age and multiple vehicles that helps, 69 and the 'wing and an ATV plus now the RT.

I just got the endorsement in on my own policy...
$732 for the 2014 Limited
it was $405 for the 2010 A&C

Time to look at some avenues for this coverage...

I just got pretty much the same deal with Allstate. We just sent over all the docs a few days ago for a March 1 transition away from state farm. I was at about $490 with state farm.

Just talked to my insurance rep today. Going from my '10 RTS to a '14 RTS would make a $200 difference. My policy for an '08 Triumph America and '14 RTS=$500 per yr. with Progressive.

I have Geico insurance, I pay $718.00 full coverage + Towing, and MSF Course, Renewal, Anti-Theft Device Discounts. Also I get a kick back from Geico for having my Spyder put up for Winter Storage( Oct. 1 to April 1) I have been with Geico Insurance for 1 year and 1/2. I have an excellent driving record. I also have my Car with Geico. Deanna777:ohyea:

Also went the Allstate route

I hadn't planned on switching companies but I discovered that Selective had made an error and did not charge us for liability coverage on one of our cars last year. We bought a new 2014 and traded in the 2012 and the rate went up by over $800. When I called to ask why so much of an increase I was told that a mistake was made on the other car last year and the premium for liability wasn't included.

Then I asked what would have happened if there had been an accident? The response was... "we would have worked something out but you really should have noticed on the declarations section of your policy that we neglected to charge you." I pointed out that the cover page on the declarations showed we had liability coverage but that the fine print on page six was missing the amount. I got kind of a 'so what' response that I didn't like so I decided to shop around.

I ended up moving our motorcycles, three cars and our home insurance all to Allstate. In every case the annual premium was lower. For the Spyder the annual cost for both RT's is $391.

Got my quote today for my 2014 RT Ltd. from Blue Circle Insurance up here in Canada.
$620 full coverage, towing, 4 year replacement, $3000 for after market farkles.
My 2012 RT Ltd. was $550...

Things are oviously a bit different south of the border. I bought my SPYDER LAST July and my isurance broker quoted me $1800 and change. Now that was for full coverage. I have full coverage for my Tundra and its just over $1000 per year. Once I called around realized it wasnt any different, Didnt finace it paid cash or I would been hooped and woulda had too do the full boat, But I must say didnt have my class 6 at the time(motorcycle license) up here. Now that I have Class 6(conditional) 3 wheels only may be less been told it will go way down. I ended up just putting the(liability) on it and it was $355.
