• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there a way to keep the instrument panel, Time, Temp. etc., on night time mode. Sure is easier to read.

NITE MODE

You need to cover the " SENSOR PICK-UP " so it tricks the Spyder into thinking it's dark......lots of folks have done it here..........Someone will chime in and tell you where it is.....................Mike :bbq:

Don't know. ..!!

you have to find it on the panel using a black dot and sliding it around I believe to the right side till the lighting changes. Then fix a patch over that spot with black tape or the likes....I know someone posted a picture once upon a time ...

Well------

I found the sensor to be just under the" 200 MPH" putting more at the 1 o'clock position. I used black E-tape with the cornors cut off. Dosen't block any of the symbols that come on at first key turn. Easy to remove if I don't like "on tour".

So, you're just sticking a small piece of tape right on the screen? Is it obvious where to stick it? Might have to try this.

No, there is no ARROW pointing to the spot :dontknow::roflblack:......But in the daytime if you move something small around in the AREA described above when you cover the spot the screen will change ........THAT'S THE SPOT :thumbup::thumbup:...Mike :bbq:

Glad this came up

Thanks for all the thoughts posted. Used the info late this afternoon and covered the sensor. Tomorrow I'll determine what I really think but I think it may be a plus in this FL sun that will help with the glare and seeing the info.

Covering the light sensor

I am attaching a picture i did this afternoon, not the greatest workmanship but a smooth rounded and smaller piece of electrical tape in the right spot will probably do the trick. By the way i have a 2013 RT

Thanks Tulefog, by golly that works.

Can't read the speedometer at 185?

That's a thought, I think the screaming passenger would start at about 150!
