• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Installing a Route 129 windshield

I will freely admit that I haven't not scoped out all of the previous threads. But I'm looking to put a Route 129 windshield on my 2018 F3. I'd rather not have to pay the shop to put it on, when I can do it myself. And learn more about my bike. Does anyone have any insight or a good place to get step by step instructions on how to do this?

Thank you!! poo

If you lived 200 miles to the south, I'd help you. I have never done that before, but between the two us, we'd get 'er done.

*note:don’t have a F3* Usually pretty straight forward remove& replace in reverse order of removal. Windshields can be awkward with curves & hard to reach areas, so another set of hands to help is advisable. Help keep from flexing /cracking & most importantly: Take your time. :lecturef_smilie: it’s better than getting pissed off because you drop something. With that in mind stuff rags or towels into openings around work area just in case. Good luck

That video is for a F4 windshield, which mounts completely different than the Can-Am Route 129 the OP wants to use. It might add more confusion than help.

Here are the BRP instructions. It really isn't too hard. The tricky part is the front mount which freely rotates but with a little ingenuity you can wedge a towel in there to hold it in approx position. It will be VERY helpful to have a second pair of hands when actually attaching the shield to its mounting points....
