• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Installation of GT Racing Stripes on my RS

So I bought some GT Racing Stripes for my RS from Pete at Powersportswraps. Very happy with the purchase and working with Pete.
I am having a hard time trying to find someone to help put them on the bike for me. I have contacted several places and none have gotten back to me. Does anyone have any recommendations? I am in the Northern, Virginia area.

It's a VERY scary thing... But it's also way easier than you think...
Read, re-read, and then re-re-read the instructions; make sure that you know them by heart; forwards and backwards...
We trimmed a lot of the excess stuff off from around our graphics; it made it easier to poistion it closer to the edges...
put a little masking tape on each end of it to position it
Lay a piece of tape across "about" the center; that'll act like a hinge when you start removing the paper
pick up one end of the decal, start peeling the paper back, (It' gets really scary now...)
we peeled it back to the center hinge and tore the paper loose! :yikes:
lay it down, working from the center outward. (it helps to have two sets of hands here)
Once that side is down, just take the tape off remove the paper, and work the other side down, working owt from the center again.
rub everything down in place
CAREFULLY peel up that plastic backer material
We kept a very small, thin-bladed knife handy so that we could pick up a piece if there was any wrinkles or unwanted folds in it...
Once the backer is off, rub it down and get it sticking good
Voila! You just earned a Barley-pop!

Thanks for the Tips, :D It looks like we are going to take a shot at putting them on the bike ourselves, wish me luck :yikes:

You got it! The very best of luck!
Now... after having shot my mouth off; My Missus actually did the installation; I just quivered, and bit my lip the whole time! :opps:

The hardest part about installing a straight line is keeping the "illusion" of a straight line over all of the curves of the frunk. I eyeballed most of it and it wasn't until I got to the rear trunk that I finally got smart and used a grease marker to mark all of my lines and then lined up the vinyl stripes to match.
