• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey all, I have a 2008 spyder GS and I am having issues. I bought it only having 3500 miles on it. and now I am having a couple issues. the one issue is where I am rolling along and no matter what gear I am in, and when I get to higher rpms, the gear reading goes haywire such as I will be in 1st gear and get to say 6000 rpms and the gear will read 2,3,4,5,E,3,5,E etc. now more recently It will do this and then it will at times go to N, and now R will blink on as well to the point where the bike will actually lock the back tire and if I happen to let go of the clutch the bike will turn off and skid almost outta control(not lose power, just the engine will cutoff). also I have been getting the N+R flashing when I start my bike. I have driven it for about 1200 miles and I am getting nervous. :'(

First off you need to get this to your dealer. nojoke

My guess is it's your GPS (gear position sensor) but I've never heard of that locking up the wheel.

I agree with Lamont all your simptoms fit a problem with GPS except the wheel lockup thing. Go to the dealer.

:agree::agree: Let's keep this unanimous.. please see your dealer.
Let us know what they find in there! Good luck!

okay so I took my spyder to the shop and got a new gear position sensor put in and the spyder is running great. Thanks for the info. and all of the issues were due to the faulty gps.
