• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm going to start carrying brochures

I'm absolutely overwhelmed with random strangers detaining me with questions about my spyder. Most of the time it's fun conversation but it can get slightly annoying. People have either seen the commercial and wondered what their like or have never seen one of these odd looking things. Inevitably, I spend a minimum of 10 minutes at each stop explaining how they ride or discussing features of the machine. So I have come up with a clever idea of making brochures. I think I should work out a commission deal with my dealer and I'll staple a card to each one I hand out:2thumbs:

What do you guys think?

go for it i'm thinking of doing the same but i was thinking of asking for upgrades like the chrome stuff in exchange for every spyder sold or not if they mention my name at the time they go in or something in that matter. free publicity to them and since i'm entering bike shows i'm in the public alot.

My husband is annoyed by the fact that we can't make a simple stop without someone wanting to talk to me about my Spyder. I have had people yelling questions at me when I am sitting at a red light. It can get a little overwhelming but I carry DVD's and handouts in my frunk for just that reason. Now I just need a local dealer to send them to because I don't acknowledge Coleman's as a good Spyder dealer.

I gotta bunch of flyers/brochures from my local dealer and keep them in my trunk.

Same here - have a stack of the small fold outs and business cards for local dealer .

I really don't mind , but sometimes I am in a hurry , and have to appoligize to leave .:banghead:

...Been doing it for two years now... :2thumbs: People really seem to appreciate you giving them something tangible; they can unfold it and look at the different models...
WINNER! :ohyea:

Damn, I thought I had an original idea and you guys had to 1-up me with CD's... Lol. I actually think it's awesome that people are genuinely interested in these things but being the only spyder owner in the area (as far as I know) gets to be quite a chore. It seems like the conversation typically starts like this: Random joe: how do you like that thing? Me: it's fun I like it alot. Joe: does it lean side-to-side? Me: nope, it's just like a ATV. Joe: is it front wheel drive? Me: nope rear wheel drive front steering. Joe: holy $h1t look at that rear tire!!! Lol

The responses can be pretty awesome. I took a ride to Syracuse on the Interstates about two weeks ago... Had a van follow me off into a rest area for the sole purpose of asking me questions about the Spyder. I gave him a brochure and he couldn't have been happier if I had wrapped it ina hundred-dollar bill!
