• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am not one to advertise the differnet toys I have, or Porducts that I like. However, he Spyder is different. Even though I have had my issues with it. I would still buy another one. So after looking for one awhile, at the various Dealers. No one had one. So I went and had one made. I just got done putting it on my Truck. Let me know what you think.

That's trademark infringement...even if they like it they likely won't want you doing that...

Just a thought..

It could be considered infringment. But, at the same time. When ever I anwser questions about the Spyder, and where to get one, or where to test drive one. I could be considered a underpaid BRP representative. :)

If BRP doesn't want me to have it on my truck, all they have to do, is ask me to remove it.

I miss that good old conejo valley air....

Whenever I buy a helmet or jacket or something, I always remind my dealer how many times I mention their name every time I take the Spyder out...
I, too, feel like an unpaid spokesperson.

And that is what they would do first...

My take on it is that BRP can't even get their products to market when they say they will so they should be happy if others are helping to market their stuff!

Looks awesome, I think BRP would think the same as long as you aren't out somewhere commiting road rage. Who can refuse free advertising. They would have to start paying everyone on the site for promoting the Spyder. Lamonster would be a millionaire for his advertising contribution if he isn't already.

Many many years ago, in my days of motorcycle racing, my dad was appalled that I paid 5 bucks for a shirt that said "Bultaco Motorcycles" and most of all that I was actually going to wear it! He thought they should be paying me for advertising! I actually thought of that at Leesburg Bike Fest when I observed about 100,000 people walking around all wearing motorcycle T-shirts with, I'm sure, no two alike. Eventually I did get a nice local sponsorship with Bultaco and they kept me in free shirts, much to dad's delight.

Love the sticker! I'd buy one too.

Bultaco, Montesa, Rickmann. Penton, Huskavarna Can AM what ever happened to the real dirt bikes no advertising here but I have no idea how I ever came about having over 350 H-D shirts in the last 35 years or so :gaah:

I think it would look good with one of these in the middle. :doorag:

One or two more, retread. Francis Barnett (a trials bike), Saracen, Rokon, CCM, D.O.T. (stood for Devoid of Trouble) and my first road race bike, a Bridgestone! I'm sure Scotty can come up with some more.

Rickman Metisse...my favorite, although I rode 500 Triumphs in the Jack Pine enduro.

tjfischer,
I honestly believe BRP would be okay with this but would want to approve it first. Here is why. When I inquired about using their "y" logo on t-shirts for Mid Michigan SpyderLovers, they told me not a problem; just please submit to them for their approval first. They love that we love to advertise for them, they just want to keep some control and make sure it is used properly. So I would say, advertise away.
