• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I wish people would put the topic. In this section

So tired of having g to open a post to find out I am not at all interested in the topic.
Example. Has anyone seen? You open and it's star wars.
It's as bad as advertising something for sale with no price.

Good for you.

Common courtesy and common sense don't seem to be too common any more.

I feel your pain. But, protesting it is like shoveling sand against the tide.

That's just as bad as when Lamont had TapaTalk enabled. Folks would put half the message in the subject lines of responses. Tapatalk didn't pick up the subject line after the first post so often the body of the post was meaningless. Could I get posters to change? H*** no! :banghead: Lamont's quitting use of Tapatalk rendered that issue moot.

Tough one....

Although you are right and the correct approach is to state your topic you could be missing something that does interest you. I for one don't mind and have found great bits of information, good jokes, great musical interludes, fun facts and granted a lot of nonsense. But really how much of your life is stolen from you if you click the thread and see what the topic is....:roflblack: I have less time to spare than most but it's like traffic...how rude and pushy do you have to be to gain that one car length..?? will arriving 3 seconds ahead of the next really change your life..?? I think its the medias fault...it is their kinda of tactic to suck you in.....:banghead:

Hi Easy Rider,

Re: Good for you. Common courtesy and common sense don't seem to be too common any more.

+100

I also think that it has to do with an inability to write properly; but that is just me.

Jerry Baumchen

PS) A simple request about courtesy & what does he get in return: Bitch, bitch, etc.

Sad times IMO.

General Discussion - Forums have titles

There are titles given to each of the forums. When I see a post in one of those forums, I assume that it will be about the title that is given to the forum. Your Star Wars example I would expect to read on the Off Topic Board. Keep posts to the titled forums and it may solve this concern...

That's good for you but some of us have other things we would rather do with our time than read through posts in hopes of learning something we are not interested in or will never use.
I am not interested in getting the most post either some people seem to enjoy it, I will never understand it and do not try.

Your right and that's my point life is too short to sort through posts that have zero interest to me.

I can agree with you. This has been brought up before. I try to title the threads that I start. However, if I'm just replying I don't.

When you say life is to short, that reminds me of a member who said that he wished he hadn't spent so much time on here, instead of spending it with his wife, who had just passed away. I don't think he's on here any more. Point being, is life to short, or is it just an aggravating issue, which I can agree with.

It's going to happen with the mix of people on board. Currently, its not difficult to go through the mix of "Whats New." What's a page (25 items) or two?

Like Chupaca said: You find interesting stuff sometimes.

Maybe it's your browser?

On my browser (Chrome), if I simply hover the cursor over the subject of the post, whatever it is, up pops a little preview window of the first couple of lines. I never have to click on a post to see what it's about.

Firefox does the same thing.
