There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I think I sold a Spyder on my first day out

I was at a hardware store picking up some longer stainless screws for my plate relo project when a rider pulled off the road into the lot just to chat about the Spyder. He was really interested in the 3-wheel setup and after answering all his questions, he said he is going to get one soon.:2thumbs:

I have a 2008 Se5. I cannot in good conscience advise anyone to buy one at this time. From purchase 10-31-08 to date, it has been in the shop for almost 9 weeks of this time. I hope to get it back on 3-24-09 from having the gear box position sensor and spring replaced. It has been one headache after another. Customer service at BRP has been no help, the technicians at dealers do not want to work on them. Simple things such as oil filters, crush washers, etc have been hard to get. I have considered selling but would hate for someone else to have to go through what I have. I only wish someone had told me of all the problems the Spyders have before I purchased. I will tell anyone that asks about the Spyder to look elsewhere. I expected (foolishly) that a bike that has a price tag of $18000.00 would be mechanically sound and BRP would bend over backwards to help with problems with machine and dealers.

I just dropped $17,600 OTD, but bought an SM5...stayed away from the SE5 - per reading on this forum.

:dontknow:

I've had my 08 SM5 since October, 08, and haven't had a bit of trouble with it! I love it and would buy it again -- the SM5, NOT the SE5, from reading posts on this forum mainly.

Sorry you're having so many problems with your SE5. Hopefully, some day, it'll all get straightened out and you'll get to ride and enjoy your Spyder!

I have had a perfect record with my SE5 and would recommend one to anyone. I don't see any faults with the SM5 either, but if someone wants quick and sure shifts - the SE5 is the way to go.

Sorry to hear about your story...the SE5s definitely are making a big stink...the reason why the extended warranties are costing us ALL more is due to the SE5s...they should halt production until all the problems are resolved...
