I Reallllllly Want To.....

Sounds great.

MurphyBrown, this is such a great idea! Maybe you could ride solo sometimes, and meet up with ryders along the way?

Say for instance if you came to Texas... a group of us could take you up to Fredricksburg in the hill country and show off our neck of the woods. Or take a longer trip down to Big Bend. There's some awesome sights down there.

I'm sure there are SpyderLovers in almost every state who would love to show you their part of the country.

I like what Yazz is saying. Sounds like a great time.

BOOTI

I went thru Naples today on my way back from Gray Animal Park with my grandson. A good portion of the waterfront is under construction but they are keeping traffic orderly. The road is freshly paved. I'm gonna be in the Adirondacs next week with Mainah. Look for the Maine plates and give us a holler. We might be able to answer any questions you may have of the area. I only live about 20 miles from Naples.

I'll second that!! Another bunch of Spyder and new roads to run!:agree:

OK just read these replies and I am soooo committed to doing this. Yes, I believe that it can be with multiple ryders. BUT, no matter, I am doing it. So this winter (as I pass thru the garage and pat Ms Spyder on her nose) I will be plotting and planning. Already started a list of you fine folks with open door welcomes.
Well, for now, getting excited about next Fri departure thru central OR down thru Napa Valley area in CA (gonna get that Lamonster cut Corbin) then back up 1 to meet/greet at Spyders in Redwoods...will continue up 1 after that...oh yea, have see a road that makes a loop from Eureka...might have to follow that one!!!!
Hmmmm me thinks Hawaii may not be on my "must do on Ms Spyder" list.:yikes::roflblack:

If I'm still in Michigan you can have the entire walkout level for as long as you like.

:agree: if you get to the Jersey shore, we have a room for you here! We also would be able to travel around the area for a week or so to show you some sights and maybe see new ones ourselves! Let us know when you hit the East coast!!!

OMG You Guys this is getting reallllly exciting

Wow, I'm so excited at all the "invites"....so I am making my list and checking it twice. Then this winter when I am "grounded" from Ms Spyder I will get out the lower 48 map..start circling where you are and then it will be like one of those connect-the-dot games I used to love doing as a kid...thank you all for your generous offers...guess I shouldn't be overwhelmed...I find Spyder lovers to be the best :ohyea:

When you get to Minnesota look us up and we'll take a ride up the North Shore, starting at J. Cooke State Park (Hwy 210) there's a great little twisty road thru it! --Paula

I think it's a great idea and I'm sure we can tie it into SpyderWebUSA too. When do you think you would want to start this trip? I know I would like to hookup with you along the way somewhere. Might even be able to get BRP to do a story on the whole trip. :doorag:

If you pass thru near Hickory NC, don't forget me and Ltownblue! I have a guest room, and I'm sure Ltownblue would be delighted to show you some local roads... Devil's Staircase, Diamondback... he's a regular travel agent!

Add Cincinnati Ohio to your list of invites

Murph, it was great meeting you at SpYderFest this year:2thumbs: You are deffinately "One Of A Kind" Please add us to your list of invites:ohyea: If you'd like to see where Teddy & I are, you can bring us up on GoogleMaps by typing in:
902 Vernon Place, Covington, KY, 41016

We live on the Kentucky side of the scenic Ohio River, right across from downtown Cincinnati & the Bengals Paul Brown Stadium  Literally 1 minute off of I75/71, which is the main North-South corridor for the Mid-West/Eastern part of the US;) So we're very convenient & easily accessible  not to mention, there's so much to see & do around here along with some great roads for Spyder Ryde'n:2thumbs:

I remember talking to you about your love of dogs & yur own MurphyBrown :ohyea: & introducing you to Teddy in the parking lot of WallyWorld;)

Well, on the topic of dogs, there's a bykers heaven :doorag:called Rabbit Hash, Kentucky, only about 30 minutes from where I live & the only thing in the entire town is the General Store:shocked: You may have actually heard of it, as it made National News as being the only "Town" in the US that has a dog:yikes: for a mayor:yes: No joke nojoke The reason so many bykers flock to it is because of the roads get'n there are made for Ryde'n :2thumbs: with many twisties all throughout the countryside of farmland and along the scenic Ohio River:firstplace:

We have a guest bedroom & bathroom wait'n for ya along with Wonderful scenic SkyLine City & River views:2thumbs: If you make it here at the end of summer around Sept. 4th, we put on one HELLUVA Fireworks show on the river & invite about 500,000 friends to help us celebrate the end of summer:yes: & my place has front row seats:yes:

Something else for ya to look forward to my dear:thumbup:

Hi Lamont:
Right now my thoughts are to incorporate trip to Spyderfest 2012 and THEN head out for another (min.) 8 weeks of ryding and meeting/greeting....exact direction of course unknown at this time.
Will keep all informed....hey I mentioned to BRP that I would be interested in being an Ambassador ... I am DEFINITELY a Spyderlover!!!!! OK Rodeo weekend in Chelan and it's a big deal but MsSpyder must stay home...way to dirty for her!!!! So the PU gets to leave the garage...wow hope it starts!!!

Nova Scotia is in our plans next Aug

We plan on heading to Nova Scotia next year towards the end of July first of August if you would like to tag along. We already may have a fellow Ohio Spyder Ryder joining us. Lynn has family in Nova Scotia so we try to get there every couple of years. Next years trip will be on the Spyder!:ohyea:

Today I spent 8 hrs ryding and reallllly want to travel all of the US..maybe Canada & Nova Scotia also. I have no issues going alone, but thought there just may be another Spyderlover that has a similar desire...double, triple the fun....
I envision like 6-8 weeks at a time....heck 3 or 4 months!!! My as well just sell the home place and become a nomad!!!
Nope, I'm open to consider all options. Thought we could also combine it with the Spyderweb America that Lamont is putting together...
Hey there Murphy. I jus t got back from going on the longest trip I've ever done( from MO to Ia to Wi to Ill to Ind to Kn to Tn to NC and back thru Tn to Mo. Got me POOPED OUT!!! Was on the RT and it sure was more comphy than my RS. Camped out mostly think I stayed in 3 motels the whole trip. Cost of campgrounds varied from 20 to 45 per night. I tried getting the cheaper ones as I needed the extra money for gas. I sure would have liked a trailer I could have slept in tho. The BRP one is big enough BUT I had all the other stuff in it. Tenting it is OK helps if ya have a cot tho. Had to take camp apart in the rain not bad just annoying. But anyway if you happen to be in the Cuba area of MO your more than welcome to stay here ( south of ST James) at my place, Have spare room and bath,4 car garage for spyder and any trailer you are towing. And water to wash all!!! Am out in the woods so quiet is really a nice thing. Close to Old 66 and LOTS of back roads I would love to show you. You are Welcome anytime. I would love to go with you on your trip but have animals and they have to be kept fed by a neighbor and that could be too much to ask of them to do it again for even longer time. Just an aside I went with $2000. and got home with500. Soo it can be an expensive trip. But if all of spyder lovers get you a place to lay your head accross this country you might get away with cheap. Good Luck and hope to see ya in MO! :2thumbs: ThreeFeet.

I have traveled every year for two to three months. I live in Hawaii so I must make the best of the time I have. Two to three months is really satisfying. Traveling longer then three months can get real exhausting for me. It is exciting to prepare for next years trip. I just came back from 5,000 plus miles and am tired but can't wait for next June. I have found it best to plan my places to stay every day. I have tried the alternative and it just isn't as relaxing. I also find having a trailer is a must. I camp 75% of the time. I use a Harbor Freight trailer with a tent cot. The tent cot is very comfortable and allows me to have all the creature comforts.

Hmmm tell me more about your trailer and tent cot (brand, etc)...I have not considered a trailer BUT??? I agree on having a plan as to where to lay my head at nite...I am more "secure" with that planning...couple times did not and it worked fine...BUT??? Thanks for your suggestions. I am taking them all in...and still amazed at the generosity of sharing here on Spyderlovers...besides Spyderlovers they just gotta be PEOPLE lovers!!!!
