Just curious. I'm at about 800 miles, and it looks like it is about 3/4 of the way to needing to add a quart.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.
How Much Oil Have You Had To Add Prior To 6,000 Miles?

If you're sure it was at full when new, that sounds like too high an oil consumption to me. At that rate, if it's being burned rather than leaking, I'd expect to see a haze of blue exhaust smoke.

I had an RV that we got at about 6 years old and had about 25,000 miles. It burned a quart every 500 miles for the 12 years we had it. No blue smoke. Consequently, I added a quart of oil every 500 miles, and NEVER changed the oil. It got 10 quarts of FRESH oil every 5,000 miles, which is exactly how much oil it held, and was the exact oil change interval! :2thumbs: I only changed the filter every 5,000 miles. But I digress. :barf:
But yes, when I 1st checked my Ryker oil, it was up to the max. line.

I reach the 6.000 miles next week - it seems that I needed NO oil in this time .. i filled in 0,15Liter but I didn`t know how to check the oil 10 seconds after the engine is switched off and not 2 minutes after that .. (like the Manual) - there are also no other issues on mine ..

Actually, you should use some oil. Otherwise your engine is NOT getting proper lubrication and will wear out quickly. :yikes:

Um, so not true. Not sure where you heard that but it is simply not the truth. A proper oil control ring configuration will leave the correct amount of oil on the cylinder walls to properly lube the compression rings but NOT be so much they don't wipe the remaining amount from the walls and get burned off... And it is 2 completely different things as to proper piston ring/skirt/wrist pin lubrication vs oil control. Just sayin, and coming from 20+ years of auto tech experience. My 2010 Camaro that I have Supercharged @ 9psi uses NO oil. Yet manages to repeatedly put down 11 sec quarter miles times for the last 18k miles!
What!!! That statement would be true if it was a TWO stroke engine.

My F3L doesn't need oil between changes. 9,666 miles on the last one and no oil added.

True, based on old tech of many years ago. With today's materials of construction and advances in lubrication technology the usage between changes is often hard to detect on the dipstick.

Update!!! I checked the oil today EXACTLY as the Manual specifies, and sure enough the oil is FULL! My bad for apparently checking it the wrong way before. :clap:
