There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. How is your brake reservoir caps installed?

I've seen pictures of brake reservoir caps under the seat installed with the 'tab' pointing off in various different directions.

Where should this tab be pointing when the reservoir caps are correctly installed, fully on the brake fluid bottle?

Any pictures to share to show the correct installation of the brake reservoir caps, please?

thanks for your time.
Cheers.

I would think this will vary with every bike, depending on how tight you tighten them down, condition of the rubber seal, etc. I think I've checked mine twice in 15,000 miles just to make sure they were still tight and to make sure there were no leaks.

Thanks for the note. Have you noticed if the tab ( I think it's called the breather ) tab was pointing in the same direction on both caps? Is the tab pointing towards the top, bottom, or one of the sides?

I'm curious because I've seen a picture where the tabs seemed to be in different locations on each cap.

On mine, both tabs are pointing towards the top, but not quite at the very top. Say they are at about 10:30 or 11o'clock. I'm just wondering if they are on correctly on my Spyder.

Thanks for your time/replies!

I turn mine so the tabs or vents are pointed to the rear because of the downward tilt of the reservoir. less seepage that way.:f_spider:

Mine are the same as you describe, towards the back but not all the way back.
