There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. How Far to Your Dealer?

Hi Folks,
I'm still luke warm about my local dealer and I am considering a trip over to the next closest which is 140 miles. I was curious as to how far some of you folks travel to get good deals and/or good service. What should I consider if I take my business to a dealer a fer piece away? Input is appreciated. :dontknow:

I'm in a very unusual (and fortunate!) situation...
I've got dealers that are:
34 miles
48 miles
54 miles
60 miles
and 73 miles away...

I chose the 54 mile hike for my most recent purchase; largely due to my satisfaction with their service department.
But ANY of the 4 closest ones have gotten good reports! :2thumbs:

My closest dealer is in the next State over and is 130 miles away. I'm fortunate that they are also top notch in the service department, otherwise I don't know what I'd do as dealers out here are few and far between.

The Dealer I purchased from is just over 500 miles from me. For service, I travel to a neighboring state because I totally trust their service department and that is about 47-50 miles from me.

my 1st spyder & services were done 175 miles away. The current spyder I purchased 520 miles away but service after is at local 4 miles away. Will not purchase from local as they alway lo-ball offers

Bought our RTL two & half hrs away, have a new dealer half hr away since we bought but do not know anything about there service, want to find out though& hope they are good:doorag:

Our local dealer (~10 miles) has been good so far, but for any service I will be pre-stripping panels as they didn't put 1 screw in and a few others were loose on my oil change. Just hoping that all mechanical work was torqued to proper spec... Otherwise I still trust them so far.

The next closet is about 70- miles.

I prefer good service over good deals. My original dealer was 75 miles one way; never had a problem with them. But, I opted for one 30 miles away
due to the ease of the gf coming to pick me up when spyder is left overnight; and, so far they have provided excellent service.

Closest and fortunately good service dept.

4 hour ryde ONE WAY....traveled 2300 miles to make the "best deal" on '14 + trailer. :yikes:

Tough one..!!

I have one north of me and one south of me about 20miles to either one. I go to the southeren one because I can go on the backroads lakes twisties hills but do my own work so not often. Feel for all those needing good service and have such great distances to go....

I live in a little town in the Sierra Nevada mountains
Just to shop for food is 80 miles one way. So traveling is not a problem.
There is a dealer 100 miles from me. but they are terrible with service and there reviews are all bad.
I travel 250 miles one way to the dealer I purchased the :spyder2: and trailer from because they are great
Look up dealer reviews on the internet

I go to 2 great dealers depending on the time of the year. In the summer I go to Mountain Motorsports in Kodak TN which is about 90 minutes from our house. In the winter I go to Central Florida Power Sports which is a 4.5 hour drive. I will go wherever I need to for a good reliable dealer. It is well worth the drive.

Thanx, everyone, for your replies. Makes me feel a lot better about traveling "only" 140 miles IF this dealer is a gud 'un! Happy trails!

So are trees. :joke:

97 miles one way. I have one 10 minutes away I will not use if I can keep from it. There is another 60 minutes away owned by the same one 10 minutes away.
