• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How do you use your Spyder?

Full time Spyder Rydes

:coffee: I got my Spyder as a retirement gift to myself 5 years ago. I have enjoyed ryding as much as I'm able.

Love to get out there early mornings and enjoy some 'wind therapy'. ......

According to my insurance company since I've retired everything I own is for pleasure.

Honestly I ryde every chance I get and have also been guilty of making up reasons to go somewhere on it.

Our Spyders are the go to for most everything. Being retired, we ride them most every day. Many times a hundred miles or so. Since moving to AR in May/2019 we have put a total of 37,965 miles on our Spyders.

By comparison, our 2017 Suburu Outback is rarely used, except for grocery runs and other errands. It has a total of 27,500 miles on it now, and 4,500 of those miles were the trip from AK to AR.

.

Today ( and for the next 4 days) We are using it to go the Run-a-Mucca rally in sunny Winnemucca,Nv. It's mostly a motorcycle event but this year the Battle Born :spyder2: wil make a much better showing than in the past.Battle born spyders.jpg

I too got my 1st Spyder as a retirement gift to myself in July 2020. DW and I like to ryde the back road's of SEMO. Sometimes we ryde over 120 miles in an afternoon
and don't get 50 miles from home. It is definitely a pleasure to get some wind therapy.

Fair weather weekend rider around town. Bike is 8 years old now and just hit 20,000 miles last weekend.

My Spyder is my fun friend that goes and does whatever I want, whenever I want and never asks for special favors.
I am a recovering widower, kind of a loner. The Spyder may or may not understand, but it never ask me to talk about it.
It doesn't mind sitting in the garage waiting for me and is capable of giving all the pleasure this ole man can handle.
It can be slow calm and quiet, or it can be insane.

Pleasure and touring trip with friends, my work commute is dog eat dog ride in a car and is even more savage on a bike, if I had a better commute I would probably ride to work every Friday during the good weather months.
