• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How big is too big for a Ryker?

I suspect the lower ride height is quite different from a Spyder. The comfort seat and backrest are good additions. From what I have read, aftermarket seats like Corbin sit higher.

The belt on the Ryker is different than the Spyder belt. It is an integral part of the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) and will naturally be subject to more wear. Not terribly expensive if you do your own repairs.

Corbin seat is a definite upgrade does away with that whole seat ridge issue, and then handle bar risers let's you adjust the arm position, shorter or longer. One observation, If you did not notice you will do more work with arms on a Ryker than your RT or a 2 wheel bike, I love that connected feel just like a manual steering sports car. But this is just the feelings of a short 6ft 200 lb er :joke:

I joined just to post, I am 6'5" and about 340lbs and it fits me fine.

That’s good to hear, Beef…… I’d love to see a photo……I always got ribbed about looking like a giraffe on a skateboard by my riding mates…….and that was on an F3-L :ohyea:

Did you change anything out? like the seat?

So I will let you know My wife got hers and I loved it and decided to get myself one. I did order mine with the solo driver seat since the ridge on the stock seat does get in the way of my big ass. I will be adding floorboards as well, My current bike has them and I can't live without them!

Ride one and see. Greg, chime in. They are fun. We just got a Rally, and have 2 900’s to play with on the tour. See my thread on Demo tour, click on the link, find a test ride. Ride. Then decide. Saddles are the key. Once you find the right one, the rest is just fun! Not a touring bike, but great fun!

In the original post I stated that I rode both the 600 and 900. I like the bike with the 900 because it took me back to my sport bike days. My bike before the RTL was a Concours and before that was a Ninja 1000. The issue was the seat fit. When I changed to a comfort seat on my RTL it made the ride more enjoyable. So now that a bigger guy than me gave me the answers to my question I may get one.

19’ rally and I am 5’11” 260 and no issues whatsoever…. I have the comfort seat (not solo) and its pretty good. I also have the passenger comfort seat.. when the wife rides with me we do bottom out on bigger bumps. Thinking of upgrading the rear shock but also thinking of getting a spyder.
