• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Houston Ryders Going to Shiner

We've got some options with regard to meet up points, so let me throw out some in an attempt to make it convenient for most of us--1) do we want to go I-10 to Flatonia then down 95 to Shiner or 2) do we want to take say U.S. Highway 90 all the way to Shiner? If we take I-10 we could meet at the Shell station in Brookshire like before or if we want to go Highway 90 we could meet up at a McDonald's at Grand Parkway and 90. We need to be in Shiner at 12:30 as I recall, so if we left either of those spots by 10:00 or 10:30 we should have no problem getting there by then, making one stop somwhere along the way.

What's the preference?

Glynnk
P.S. Yazz, Jeff and Ed and I would probably meet up in the Cypress area somewhere and then head to the group meet point.

Hi Glynn,

Since we can meet up in Cypress, makes no difference to us which route to Shiner we take.

Okay, let's see if anybody else has any suggestions? Houston....we don't have a problem yet, but post your preferance so we can finalize things.

Shiner Meet

Gonna' try and make another test run before Saturday and see if everything works with DPS fuses pulled. Brookshire would be good for me. Steve

either way works for me, Mark and suggestions?

The SA ryders route will be going out 87 to FM 1116 to Gonzales and then 90 into Shiner. We'll meet the Houston group there at the restaurant at 12:30.

When we leave we can ride up 95 to Flatonia and then take I-10 back to SA if anyone wants to do a large group ride. We rode together for awhile on the last meetup and I think we split up in Flatonia if I remember correctly.

Let's see what the groups want to do after we meet for lunch.

Total of 25 mile and steering bound up twice :yikes:, had them come out and pick the bike up, new DPS ordered, not a very happy camper at this point.

Okay, Houston folks, let's plan on meeting at the Shell station in Brookshire at 10:00, Saturday, Feb. 6th. The station is located on the north side of I-10 at the FM 359/Waller Ave. exit. Departure from there to Shiner at 10:15.

Cypress folks, meet at the Randall's gas station at 290 and Barker Cypress at 9:15.

No-Go

Well it seems that the steering problems have returned (Tried to put me in the ditch) so tomorrow is a no-go for me! Looks like the next few days are going to be spent looking for a trailer to haul this thing to a Dealer in Houston since the local Dealers mechanics are incompetent( Not even sure if they are still Can-Am Dealers ). Maybe next time. Steve

Steve--Sorry to hear that. Ed (Arch) posted something earlier with the same problem. Wild West Honda seems to have competent folks, although I've only been dealing with them for a few months. You might check them out.
