Hot foot fixed....

No mods to the RT either...
took an old 1/2 chaps, they are leather. Sewed heat resistant fabric to the inside of the right leg, near the ankle. The kind of fabric that pot holders are made out of. Sewed hot rod heat wrap to the outside of the 1/2 chap.

Problem 100% solved.

No more hot leg. It is perfect for me.

The ryde was cool but I enjoyed it. When it gets to the low teens--providing there is still no snow on the ground--then I have reached my fun quotient. When it becomes endurance--it is no longer fun for me. Way back when, in Minnesota in the mid 60's--I rode at 10 below in January. Now that was cold. Gear in those days were jeans, and a winter jacket.

I have become more mellow now with the advanced years. :roflblack:

If you lined them with a layer or two of the pot holder fabric....probably....I had the old 1/2 chaps so I used them.
