• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey Lamont, read thread flags aren't sticking

When I go to a section I right click on a topic header and select open in new tab. I usually click the icon to go to first new post. I read the thread and close the tab. Most of time when I get back to the section list I click refresh and all the headers for the threads I've just read go from bold to light. I then back up to SpyderWeb page and click on the next section. When I'm finished I close the browser, Firefox.

Later when I come back to a section all the topic headers I have just recently read are bold again. In many, many, cases when I click on the go to last new post icon I'm taken back into the thread at the same place as the time before, even if there are no new posts in the thread.

Also, when I read a thread using TapaTalk on my tablet the header will go light. It stays light when I come back unless there is a new post I haven't read. But, this flagging does not carry over to the browser view of the forum. I.e., when I open up the thread from my browser it comes up as having unread posts even if I have read them all.

Any idea where the hitch is, and can you get it fixed?

Thanks,

WasWinger
