• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just realized I made my first post before I did the requisite intro post.

I'm Michael from Vegas (Henderson actually) and after buying my first bike last year (a 2011 Honda CBR250r) at the age of 36 and then inheriting my second bike back in May (2001 HD Sportster XL1200 <RIP Uncle Bob>) I'm selling the Harley with plans to pick up an RSS.

Been lurking here and soaking in all the great info prior to making my purchase. Right now the Harley is posted and trying to determine if I should jump right in with a 2012 Spyder or hold off for the next model year to come out. I've never been good about waiting for this type of stuff.

Anyway, I look forward to contributing to the boards in the future.

Welcome!

Welcome to the SpyderLovers forum! This is such a great group of people. Anything you want to know is here, and if you happen to come up with something new, they will figure it out with you. :welcome::cheers::f_spider::clap:

Welcome Michael. Are you looking at a used RS? If not which dealer are you buying from? We have a local Spyder Ryders of America Chapter and we meet at ProShop in Henderson on the first Saturday of the month. If you are interested in riding with us send me a private message and I'll get you on the email list. Good luck with your purchase and I look forward to meeting you.

:welcome: I would recommend waiting and seeing what the new model year will bring. If nothing else, it will make the prices on 2011 and 2012's a bit more reasonable.

:welcome: to our home on the web. :yes: I'm sure you will make an informed decision on purchasing a :spyder:after reading up on them here.:2thumbs:

Yes, it's hard to wait. But you may be kicking yourself if you didn't? As stated above, you could get a better deal on a 2012 after the new intros on September 23rd.
Ooooo, what's it gonna be? :shocked:

:agree: The 2013s should start seeming more real on 9-23-12; It might be worth waiting to see if that gives you some options as far as pricing of leftovers. :thumbup:
A CBR 250R? Any pictures???

Welcome aboard! :ohyea::ohyea::yes::yes:

image.jpg Here is the requested pick of my CBR250r. Fuel injected barrel of fun. It's been a great 2 wheeler to build skills on and I'll most likely keep it just for fun.
