• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heading to Deadwood, have Megatech

I'm leaving tomorrow for the three-wheel rally in Deadwood and I'm going to bring my laptop that has the BUDS(1) Megatech license on it.
Anyone with 14-16 Spyder that wants their DESS disabled there can contact me. I'll be checking in here after I get to my hotel, and irregularly thereafter until Thursday. Or you can leave a message at the desk at the Travelodge where we're staying, with your number.

I notice on other threads about DESS disabling that people want to know the cost. I'm not looking to make a profit on this. I invested about $500 in the license and the (used) laptop, but that was for my own benefit. So, I'll disable your DESS, and you decide what it's worth.

:clap::clap: Thank you ......ARE you sure you can only do the 14 - 15- 16 DESS units ......You are a stand-up guy .......Mike

Yes. I only bought the BUDS Megatech (not BUDS2) license, which is what I needed for my 14 RT. I'm not that altruistic. :)

I offered similar locally. Was quite surprised, that no one was interested. DESS disable on a working Spyder, most folks will not bother deactivating DESS. Get stranded once, towed to a dealer to have DESS repaired outside of warranty, it might even ruin a planned trip.
Deactivating DESS is important once the failures begin for most.
Do not be offended if you get no interest in your offer.

Not offended. Here at the Travelodge, gonna enjoy myself. Planning Devil's Tower ride, otherwise, I'm winging it.
